We couldn't resist one more fun snowman idea. Make these up as treats for a holiday morning.

What you will need:
1 package mini powdered donuts
Food clay
Toothpick

Mold the clay into snowman parts... two eyes, some small pieces for a mouth and a large carrot nose. (You can roll these out with your fingers like a rolled candy cane cookie.) Use the toothpick to make divots in the surface of the donut. Fill with eye and mouth pieces, and place the carrot nose in center of donut hole. Serve on a plate with hot coffee or milk.

What you will need:
Red lacquered box
Polka dotted ribbon
Vintage celluloid button in red
White acrylic paint

Old vintage buttons make great gift tags. The polka dotted ribbon inspired us to add paint dots to a red button. (Use the eraser end of a pencil dipped in paint to create the dot border on the button.) Hand paint a name or monogram on the button. Tie the box with ribbon, and stitch the button to the ribbon as a gift tag.

A holiday blossom made of paper insures that you won't be waiting for your bulb to bloom. Gather papers from the art or craft store (we used Canson Paper to create this look), and then let your imagination run wild. Simple tools to help might include a pencil for drawing petals, sharp scissors, a glue gun, and some faux flowers to use for the center of the blossom. There are many great books on making paper flowers that will guide you through the process, but you can always "google" pictures of real flowers for inspiration. Good luck, and send me snap shots or your final paper flower.

More cookies to ponder. Try this mix of shortbread and boiled icing with large crystal sugar for a fantasy cookie that looks amazing packed in a cellophane bag with a bow.

What you will need:
Box of short bread cookies
1 cup clear large crystal sugar
1 recipe boiled icing

Sandwich filling between cookies, and roll in large crystal sugar to coat the sides. Let set for 1 hour, and place in cellophane bag with a lush satin bow.

What you will need:
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp flavoring
White of one large egg

Beat egg white until frothy, and add cream of tartar.

Beat until stiff and dry.

Cook sugar and water until it reaches the honey stage, or drops heavily from a spoon. Slowly, add 5 tablespoons of sugar mixture to egg, beating in well. Then cook remainder of syrup until it threads and pour over egg, beating thoroughly. Add flavoring and beat until cool.

This icing is so good, you'll eat it right out of the bowl.
