My herb garden provides lots of inspiration and great colors and fragrances for all my food styling projects.
My Mother tends an herb garden for me at my Grandmother’s old house. Its great because I often need the freshest and most colorful herbs to garnish foods and drinks for all my projects. My Mother makes it so easy for me to simply make a quick visit and gather all types of fragrant herbs to garnish foods, such as a refreshing summer drink … maybe a minty melon mojito or lemon thyme iced tea. I stopped for a visit very early the other morning (which is the best time to pick herbs) to give my niece Emilie (our summer intern) a crash course in edible herbs.
Here’s some photographs Emilie and I took with my Canon digital Rebel.
Parsley grows well in my garden,and I enjoy using its chartreuse flowers even more than its leaves. It looks great in arrangements grouped with green zinneas and lavender. I let it blossom and reseed itself.
I love all types of sage, but the purple variety is one of my very favorites. I used large clusters of this last week with a Thanksgiving turkey I prepared for the November 2008 issue of Country Home magazine…. It looked marvelous paired with fresh plums for garnish.
Lemon thyme grows like a carpet in the garden, and I use it to add the lightest citrus tang to salads, vinaigrettes, and herbal punches. I have another favorite thyme, and it’s silver-edged thyme, which grows upright. I planted a section of it last year in the front border garden at my home.
This mint is a brilliant green with large leaves that make it a perfect garnish for items such as ice cream and chocolate desserts. We like it in cold drinks, and we insert fresh sprigs at the top of the glass for added style. It’s so cooling and fragrant, and you’ll enjoy the scent as the mint touches your nose and the drink passes your lips.
Lavender is by far one of my favorite herbs in the garden. I was introduced to it through my friend, herbal expert Emelie Tolley back in the 80’s. I am particularly thrilled because it winters over nicely and has the richest purple hue that simply pops against its silver foliage.

Стоит ли убивать дураков которые бояться написать на мыло (котрое не дали при предъяве), а просто какаются когда их берут в руки и защищаются тем что слышали про nmap, вместо того чтобы ответить? Что скажите?
