Decorating for the holidays comes in many shades… this year I experimented with a QUIET gray.
Maybe its the mood of the country this year or my attempt to get closer to “Gustavian” style or maybe a mix of both. But this year in planning my website I was distinclty focused on the allure of gray and all its mellow tones
This framed cameo is actually made of plaster. It was edited out of the site because of space. I do love its serious simplicity mixed with mercury glass balls and the graphic fabric ribbon trim. A mix of nuts echoes the natural tones of the cameo matting and frame.
This tin has an amazing embossed metal exterior. I will likely emboss some fimo with the design and make wall plaques to give as gifts. This definately is holiday on the more sophisticated side… but its always nice to try, investigate and study something new to weave into your holiday scheme. With so many rooms in your home you can try a different scheme for each. Enjoy, Matthew
