Dear Victoria magazine, I am a huge fan of Matthew Mead. I follow him through his website, his blog and his books, but especially his magazine articles. His style is fabulous, current and so approachable (if that is the word I am looking for). Everything he does is delicious eye-candy and I would love to see more articles from him in your magazine!

Matthew, I love your style and have for so many years. Blue and White is one of my favorite collectibles, still, after all these years. Great article!! The only feedback I have to offer the editors is that I think that all you do is awesome. You are the cutting edge of design, as always. Happy Earth Day, Theresa

To the publishers,
As a long-time fan of Matthew Mead, I would love to see his wonderful styling and features become a regular part of the magazine. Matthew has legions of loyal fans who have been feeling a little displaced following the end of Country Home. I am certain that those same fans would happily follow him to your lovely magazine, as his style is so compatible with the style of which is a hallmark of your magazine.
Please, please bring Matthew and his wonderful talent back into our lives on a monthly basis. It would be a wonderful marriage…!
April 22nd, 2009 at 9:07 am
Mathew is my hero! He is the American Idol of magazine editors. His ideas are fresh and right on with readers, his style is extraordinary, and he continues to produce the most wonderful stories, no matter what design style. Matthew and his team never cease to amaze me! I know he has a huge fan base, as I witnessed the lines of folks at a book signing event last year. I would subscribe to any magazine knowing I was guaranteed a treat from Matthew each issue!

To the Publishers of Victoria Magazine,
Matthew Mead has exceptional talent. His creativity and styling in his books and magazines is beyond belief. I so loved seeing and reading about him in Country Home, and was terribly sadden when I found we no longer would be graced with his marvelous talent in it. Please continue to showcase his exquisite work in your magazine. He is a tremendous asset to the decorating world!! And thank you, Matthew! You are wonderful!

Please don’t waste a month without him gracing the pages of your magazine!

Adding Matthew Mead to the Victoria writing staff would be yet another reason to need this yummy magazine. Mr. Mead’s articles inspire me to create a cozy, yet attractive space for my family. We all need a bit of opulence in our everyday and Matthew shows us how to make that happen.

Matthew Mead’s ideas are exactly the type that would inspire me to subscribe to Victoria—they capture the beauty and elegance of the past in a way that is practical and simple for me to replicate in my everyday life. We’re all trying to save money, so my favorite magazines must be pretty AND practical to keep their place in my home. Matthew Mead’s designs inspire me to style I can achieve, and I think his design would be an excellent continual addition to your publication. Thanks!

Dear Victoria Magazine ~
Matthew Mead has the best ideas for taking something old and giving it a fresh new look that goes with the trends of today. I LOVED the blue and white article. It was so inspiring that as I sit here typing this with white paint on my hands, I am changing my entire living room to blue and white and moving all my blue transferware in there. Thanks for featuring him this month. I hope to see more of Matthew in the future. And thank you for such a lovely magazine!

As a huge Matthew Mead fan, I would love to see more of his articles included in the pages of your magazine. He has wonderful, creative ideas that are very attainable. So many times in magazines, a reader sees many ideas that she likes but does not have the creativity or resources to attain them. With Matthew Mead, he provides wonderful ideas that I can easily do myself. He would be a very valuable asset to your magazine and to your readers.

To the Publishers of Victoria magazine,
I look forward to reading your beautiful publication, but when I saw Matthew Meads name on the cover featuring an article on blue and white transferware, I could not wait to get home and get comfy and peruse this issue. I love Matthew’s work and have followed his career for years. And when I see a large collection of blue and white dishes I get weak in the knees. I do hope you feature Matthew on a regular basis in the future. He is amazingly talented and would be a wonderful addition to your magazine.
April 25th, 2009 at 8:06 am
Blue and white with yellow were my wedding colors some 30-odd yrs ago and I have continued to love the combo. Matthew has a way of making blue and white all fresh and new. Hope he becomes a regular at Victoria. Best wishes to both Victoria and Matthew Meade!

Love, love Matthew Mead and miss his work in Country Home. I would love to see Matthew’s styling in Victoria magazine, what a great fit!

Dear Victoria Magazine,
I was addicted to your magazine years ago. Then it became a bit dated. Well, honestly… very dated. It no longer reads as fresh and inspiring. It feels like the 90s still when I visit your magazine.
Matthew Mead would give your magazine, not only a new following and thousands of potentially new subscribers (I’d subscribe!), but the update that it really needs.
Matthew is great — as a person and as a stylist. I can’t believe he even has to write a post like this honestly, you should be knocking down his door! I say grab Matthew before someone else scoops him up!
Best,
Holly

I have enjoyed and appreciated the talent of Matthew Mead for many years. He has tremendous style and his generosity with information is unmatched. Every time I am attracted to an article or recipe,etc.. it is from Matthew and his talented group. It is unimaginable that he has not been given a permanent place in your magazine but, his own quarterly publication. The special issue magazines I have purchased (published under his name) have become treasured references that I rely on time after time.

His style is so relevant in today’s world with the way the economy is and how he redesigns something from nothing into a fantastic treasure! He would be a valuable writer to your magazine. Having Matthew Mead as a regular writer for Victoria Magazine would be a delight because that is what his designs are. Matthew has a talent for creating beauty and harmony in a very sensitive way. When I first saw him on TV, I was impressed with how creative and unique his projects were and how he projected confidence to viewers that they could do the projects too. He has the perfect flourish and appeal that readers of Victoria Magazine want.

The blue and white transfer ware article was informative and well written. I would like to see articles on quilts now and of old. I have just begun collecting and need guidance. I think Matthew could handle the task. I recently went to Wilton NH to a shop called White House Collections. I found out Matthew had been there and loved what he saw. So if he is traveling to a little town in NH to find ideas he would go to great lengths to research whatever articles he does. Victoria is one of my favorite magazines. I recently purchased 12 issues of Victoria from 1995 and I am enjoying them! Keep up the good work.
