My favorite blueberry dessert is a quick mix of blueberries and red raspberries with a sugar crumble top in tiny quiche dishes, individual crumbles. These crumbles are quick and juicy. They remind me of all of the fresh fruit desserts made with my grandmother, an organic gardener way before it became the norm.
My grandmother had raspberry brambles that curved over into tall tunnels, great for sneaking away and eating all the raspberries I was supposed to be picking. She also had an ancient stand of blueberry bushes.
